    The Minister of Industry and Minerals and Engineer Mohamed Shiaa al-Sudani announced on Sunday the solution of the problem of the entry of trucks between Jordan and Iraq, while the exemption of 399 Jordanian products from customs.
    Al-Sudani said in an interview with Al-Ghad newspaper that the problem of the entry of trucks into the two countries has been resolved after the ministry of border ports has been approached by our ministry for the purpose of facilitating the entry of Jordanian trucks loaded with goods to Iraq. Certainly the Directorate of the port of Trebil border for this purpose, taking into account the application of the legal and regulatory contexts for entry trucks and the audit of official documents.
    He added that the Iraqi Council of Ministers "agreed to include 399 Jordanian products with customs exemptions out of 792, based on the recommendations of the Iraqi-Jordanian committee to follow up the implementation of the free trade agreement between the two countries."
    Al-Sudani stressed that the Joint Committee held several meetings during which 792 Jordanian products were presented, reviewed and studied for inclusion in the reduction of customs duties. The committee raised its recommendations to the Iraqi Council of Ministers. The recommendations excluded a number of products on the list of customs exemptions, The local product, some of which have been proven not to be produced in Jordan mainly or the mismatch of the quantity installed in the lists with the design capacities of the plants when visited by joint committees. "
     He explained that the Committee, according to its recommendations, "excluded 393 Jordanian products from the reduction, and agreed to 399, and that the Iraqi Council of Ministers approved the recommendations of the Committee in this regard, and has been ordered to the General Authority of Customs of Iraq to implement the recommendations, and we are currently following procedures with customs to implement the guidance of the Council Ministers on customs exemptions and exemptions on Jordanian goods and products ".
    In response to a question on the status of Iraq certain conditions committed by Jordan in exchange for Iraqi customs exemptions, Sudan denied "the existence of any Iraqi conditions on Jordan, except with regard to the laws and regulations in force which are the normal systems of work for the establishment of economic and strategic cooperation both short term or long term" .
