In the same context, he explained that the governorate has submitted to the Council of Ministers a request that includes obtaining approval for the completion of 18 important projects, namely the Nahrawan and Abu Ghraib projects and the completion of some designs for water and electricity projects in some areas such as Mahmudiyah, Diyala Bridge and Taji, which are giant projects implemented by different companies. The Council of Ministers approved 9 projects of them, to be launched immediately after the launch of the necessary financial allocations. He noted that the province managed to return the money wasted on projects that are not within the limits of its powers, through committees formed since 2010 to study the projects carried out during the previous local governments, noting that the work of these committees continued until 2014 and the feasibility studies for about 700 projects And worked on the abolition of non-important ones, such as the project of 18 model control, the value of each 12 billion and 600 million dinars, pointing out that the province canceled five of them and returned the amounts to the treasury with the continuation of the remaining controls because it achieved advanced completion rates.
