Obama is silent about Iran's nuclear program
Former US President Barack Obama has criticized President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal as a "grave mistake."
Obama said on his Facebook page, Trump's decision to withdraw "is very misleading, because Iran is committed to the implementation of the agreement."
"The constant contradictions of the conventions to which our country is a party risk undermining America's credibility and putting us at odds with major world powers," he said.
"Without this agreement, the United States could eventually be left with a losing option between a nuclear-armed Iran or another Middle East war," Obama said, adding that "the nuclear deal remains a model for what diplomacy can achieve, including when it comes to North Korea. "
