A meeting between Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi and the leader of the Sadrist movement sparked a debate at a critical time in the country's politics.
Abadi congratulated the Iraqi people once again on holding the elections on time in advance thanks to the security forces that protected the voters and maintained their neutrality. He called on all the political blocs to accept the results and follow the legal means of objections. He also called on the Commission to consider them so that those who won the elections can exercise their role and duties. Parliament
Abadi said that the meeting with Sadr is to work together to speed up the formation of the government and the next government will be strong and provide services and employment opportunities and improve the standard of living and fighting corruption, stressing the convergence of views between the parties
For his part, al-Sadr thanked the Prime Minister and blessed him with the victory of the victory list.
He added that the meeting is a reassuring message that the next government is a fatherly and caring for all the people, indicating that our hand is extended to all those who build the homeland and that the decision is Iraqi, stressing the importance of speeding up the formation of a government that takes into account the aspirations of our people.
