    Iran's consulates will replace the US dollar in the local currency (dinar) and the euro in their dealings with regard to the provision of consular services such as issuing visas and others in the next few days, an Iranian news agency reported on Sunday.
    "The Iranian diplomatic missions will only receive the Iraqi dinar or the euro for its services from next Tuesday, May 22," the official Fars News Agency reported.
    "The US dollar will not be accepted in trading as soon as the decision was made in conjunction with the removal of the dollar from the banking operations of all Iranian missions abroad."
    The decision comes after US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 his decision to withdraw Washington from the comprehensive joint action plan also known as the Iranian nuclear agreement, and pledged to re-impose sanctions against Tehran, which was lifted as a result of the agreement. Ending / 25 z

    BAGHDAD / Iranian media reported on Sunday that Iranian diplomatic offices in Iraq would begin to collect their consular services either in euros or dinars instead of the US dollar as of next Tuesday.
    According to the agency , " our Father" Iran, the "This decision comes as part of a new Iranian policy to reduce its dependence on the US currency, especially if the legal risks posed by US sanctions on the Islamic Republic , which has made lenders and foreign companies are unwilling to do business with Tehran."
    It is noteworthy that the price of the Iranian currency fell against the dollar in recent days to an unprecedented level in the history of the country, where the dollar exceeded the barrier of five thousand tomans after four thousand tomans last October.
    As the Iranian currency continues to decline, exchange shops in the main market in Ferdosi Square in central Tehran are refusing to sell the dollar or the euro as the market stabilizes.

    Other experts attributed the decline to US President Donald Trump's announcement of an extended sanctions freeze on Iran for the last time, calling for an amendment to the nuclear deal, along with new sanctions on individuals and entities linked to Iran's nuclear program and missile program.
    The Iranian currency was relatively stable with the signing of the nuclear agreement in 2015, but the prospect of Washington's withdrawal from the agreement will be a challenge to the government of President Hassan Rowhani, and its ability to restore stability of the market.
