The Turkish lira rises to 4.67 against the dollar
The Turkish currency rose to 4.67 lira against the dollar in early trade on Monday as investors weighed the monetary policy horizon after an emergency rate hike by the central bank last week by 300 basis points .
By 0517 GMT, the pound was at 4.6740 against the greenback, rising 0.7 percent against the closing price of 4.7052 on Friday. At current levels, the lira has been down 19 percent since the beginning of the year.
