The sources said on Monday that the UN envoy told leaders of the Houthi militia during his current talks in Sanaa that a political settlement would begin with the complete withdrawal of the militias from Hodeidah and its strategic harbor as a first step ahead of their unconditional participation in negotiations for a political solution.
The UN envoy to Yemen met with officials of the coup government in Sanaa, which is not recognized internationally, stressing that the political solution is the only option to end the humanitarian crisis suffered by the Yemeni people.
