The five major Shiite blocs will meet later in the day on Wednesday in Baghdad to discuss three files, the most important of which is the formation of the new federal government.
The coalition is supported by the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, the alliance of "Fatah" led by the Secretary General of the "Badr" Hadi al-Amiri, the coalition "victory" led by Prime Minister Haider Abadi, and a coalition of state law led by Vice President Nuri Maliki, and the coalition of "wisdom" headed by Ammar al-Hakim.
According to informed political sources, the meeting will discuss the formation of the largest bloc in preparation for the formation of the new federal government and spare Iraq from entering a constitutional vacuum.
The sources said that the meeting will also discuss the repercussions that followed the results of the elections, and the decisions taken by the House of Representatives, and appeals against them, which will be decided by the Federal Supreme Court on Thursday.
The sources pointed out that the meeting will discuss the initiative Abadi invited the political blocs to hold an expanded meeting next week.
