Electricity pays part of the debt to Iran

The Ministry of Electricity was able to pay part of the debt owed to Iran for the purpose of securing the electricity supply to the southern provinces.
The head of the Electricity Committee in the Basra Provincial Council Mujib al-Hassani said in a press statement that the ministry has paid part of the joint and consequential to Iran, which was the last effect to stop the four lines equipped Basra, Maysan, Baghdad and Diyala with electric power about four days ago.
He added that the payments have not yet reached the Iranian side because of the slow banking procedures, calling at the same time to speed up the completion of these procedures in preparation for returning those lines to work.
