Iraq's delegation to Turkey headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Tuesday was "successful by all standards," Minister of Water Resources Hassan al-Janabi said.
Al-Janabi said in his Facebook page that "the water relationship between the two countries was a key focus and provided an opportunity for bilateral meetings with the new Turkish minister."
A government delegation headed by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Tuesday visited Ankara on an official visit to discuss boosting cooperation between the two countries and a number of issues related to water, electricity, investments and other joint files.
During his visit, Abadi met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and held a joint press conference in which Erdogan expressed Ankara's readiness to support Baghdad in all fields.
Erdogan also stressed that Iraq will receive its full share of water, in addition to the importance of relations between the two countries and strengthening and reconstruction of Iraq and Turkey's commitment to what was announced at the Kuwait Conference.
