    A spokesman for the US State Department, Heather Noiret on Wednesday, Iranian missile bombardment that targeted the headquarters of two parties opposed to the regime in Tehran in the Kurdistan region and killed dozens of dead and wounded.

    "Iran is continuing its violations," Nuerte told a news conference. "Iran is playing a bad role in the region and Iraq, and the recent bombing is aimed at destabilizing the country, the government and the entire region."

    "We expect Iran to respect the sovereignty of Iraq and other countries in the region and stop attempts to destabilize," Nuerte said.

    "The United States respects the sovereignty of Iraqi territory, and the resolution must come from Iraq," she said.

    The chief of staff of the Iranian army, Mohammad Hussein Bagheri, has announced that Iraq must hand over to Iran responsible for attacks on Iranian border guards.

    "The authorities of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Iraqi authorities must hand over to the Islamic Republic of Iran persons involved in terrorist acts against Iran," Baqeri said.
