BAGHDAD / The House of Representatives began Saturday the counting of votes after the end of secret ballot for the election of the Presidency.
A parliamentary source told "Iraq News" that "the House of Representatives began the process of counting votes after the end of the secret ballot for the election of the Presidency."
The House of Representatives initiated during its meeting, Saturday, a secret vote on the selection of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the candidates.
The new parliament failed to elect a president during the first session, which was held on the third of this month, amid chaos that prevailed as a result of the widespread disagreement on the "parliamentary bloc the most numerous," which will be charged with forming a new government.
It is customary for the Sunnis to assume the presidency of the parliament, while the Kurds are the presidency of the republic, and the Shiite prime minister, under a political agreement in place in the country since 2003. End 7
