Masoum is discussing with Trump envoy political and security developments in Iraq and the region

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - President Fuad Masum held talks at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Monday with US Special Envoy Donald Trump to Iraq, Brett McGurk and the delegation accompanying the political and security developments in Iraq and the region.
A statement issued by Iraq News said that Masoum had discussed with MacGork and his accompanying delegation, including US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Seelman, ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and the two friendly peoples as well as the overall political and security developments in Iraq and the region.
He expressed his appreciation for the continuation of the United States to support Iraq in various fields.
For his part, Brett MacGork confirmed the country's support for the Iraqi people, reiterating the desire of the United States to develop cooperation in all fields and within the framework of the strategic agreement between the two countries. Finished
