    Barham Saleh was elected president of Iraq.
    His autobiography says his four-year-old name is "Barham Ahmad Saleh Qassem," a 58-year-old Kurd born in Sulaymaniyah.
    He served twice as president of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), to be chosen by the Iraqi parliament headed by Mohamed Halboussi on October 2, 2018 as president of the republic, replacing former president Fuad Masum.
