Abdul Mahdi receives official invitation to visit TurkeyThe Turkish ambassador in Baghdad, Fatih Yildiz, on Saturday, an official invitation to charge the formation of the Iraqi government Adel Abdul Mahdi to visit his country.
RT said that "Yildiz visited Abdul-Mahdi this morning at his residence in Baghdad, and discussed relations between the two countries," noting that "Abdul-Mahdi focused on the water file with Turkey and called on the Ambassador of Ankara to urge his country to support Iraq in this file."
She added that "the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad gave an official invitation to Abdul Mahdi to visit Turkey, and that the latter promised to meet at the earliest opportunity."
This is the second official invitation received by Mehdi within 24 hours for an external visit. He received a similar invitation from Jordan yesterday.
