By Nidal al-Mughrabi GAZA (Reuters) - Leader of the National Alliance Iyad Allawi on Wednesday expressed his rejection of a statement made by the commander-in-chief of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari, about his country, America and Iraq.
Jafari said on Sunday that his country had beaten America in Iraq 3-0 and that the loss was political rather than military for America.
"We respect those of Jaafari, Iran and America," he said in response to the statement. "We do not have any right to Iran or America or any other country or entity that tries to involve Iraq in its conflicts.
He added that "Iraq will only be for all its people, and we strongly warn those countries or entities or any other country more warning that does not consider Iraq a victim or scene of the conflict of interests and at the expense of our wounded people, having gone a long way in the path of freedom and safety"
