The Committee on Amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives headed by MP Sabah al-Saadi and the presence of its members in Sunday's meeting amendments to the powers of the parliamentary committees.
At the meeting held in the Constitutional Hall of the Council, the Committee completed the paragraphs covered by amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Council of Representatives in accordance with its adopted strategy of action, particularly with regard to the powers and functions of the parliamentary committees, thus enhancing the legislative and supervisory role of the Council.
MP Sabah al-Saadi, chairman of the amendments committee of the rules of procedure, expressed the Committee's readiness to receive all the proposals and observations of deputies to amend the rules of procedure.
The meeting agreed to submit amendments to the rules of procedure of the Council to the Presidency of the House of Representatives tomorrow to be presented on the agenda for a vote.
