"The government and people of Iraq have not attached importance to Trump's recent visit to Anbar province to meet with US forces," Khatib Jumaa-e-Tehran said.
Akbari said in a sermon Friday prayers that the US withdrawal from the region "is an important issue," adding that "we are vigilant and cautious of the rest of the American plots."
He referred to a secret visit made by US President Donald Trump to Iraq, saying that "Iraq's government and people did not pay attention to this visit, as Trump was forced to leave Iraq in a humiliating manner."
"American forces carry nothing but misery, and wherever they are spread, they come with the means and difficulties of their humiliation," he said.
