BAGHDAD (Reuters
) - The Islamic Resistance, the Hezbollah Brigades, on Sunday considered US President George W. Bush's statements on the construction of US bases in Iraq as a clear declaration of the occupation of Iraq.
"The American objective of the military presence in Iraq is to confront the axis of resistance," the spokesman of the Brigades, Mohammad Mohi, was quoted by Al-Mayadin channel as saying.
Mohi added that "Trump's declaration is an explicit declaration of the occupation of Iraq and a new stage of confrontation."
"America has an incredible and expensive military base built in Iraq, and it is in a very perfect place to consider," Trump said earlier on Sunday in an interview with CBS Nation's "Face of the Nation" program. To all parts of the troubled Middle East region rather than to withdraw from Iraq. "
