BAGHDAD / NINA / Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar al-Hakim discussed with Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq developments in the political process in Iraq.
A statement for the Supreme Islamic Council cited that: "The two sides discussed the developments of the political process in Iraq, region and the upcoming elections."
The statement added: "Hakim stressed the need to hold elections on schedule, and the importance of granting governorates the constitutional powers."
