The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that 90 people were injured due to leakage of chlorine gas in Kut.
"About 90 cases have been recorded as a result of a leakage of chlorine gas at one of the drinking water purification stations in the city of Kut in Wasit province," ministry spokesman Saif al-Bader said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
He added that "all the staff of the Department of Health Astnnft," noting that "most cases of suffocation is simple to medium and the most out of the most optimistic and still follow-up is ongoing so far."
