(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbousi met with a parliamentary delegation Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
"During the meeting, they discussed enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries, activating parliamentary friendship committees and continuing joint cooperation in all fields," a statement from the Al-Halaboussi office said.
The two sides also stressed "during the meeting the openness of Iraq to the international community; to proceed with reconstruction and investment by attracting international companies, including US companies, as well as providing jobs for citizens and the elimination of unemployment."
