The Central Bank calls on banks to comply with the decision to deal with perforated and burnt banknotes

The central bank on Friday called on all banks to comply with its decision on dealing with perforated and burnt banknotes from the Iraqi dinar.
The bank said in a statement that the "all banks to confiscate the banknotes damaged damaged perforated discovered within the deposits of customers of the bank and delivered to [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/1486/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%86%D9%83 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%83%D8%B2%D9%8A]the Central Bank of[/url] Iraq with knowledge of its source from the customer and otherwise the bank bears the legal responsibility resulting from it."

It is noteworthy that the current Iraqi currency consists of seven categories include 250 dinars and 500 dinars and 1000 dinars and 5000 dinars and 10,000 dinars and 25,000 dinars and 50000 dinars and coins were withdrawn by the bank for not circulation by the public.

The Central Bank of Iraq, issued a statement on the treatment of banks with banknotes perforated and burned from the Iraqi dinar.
The bank said in a statement received / Mawazine News / a copy of it: "All banks to confiscate the damaged banknotes perforated discovered within the deposits of customers of the bank and delivered to the Central Bank of Iraq with knowledge of its source from the customer.
The bank warned that "unlike the bank bears the legal responsibility resulting from it," directed banks to "provide banknotes damaged as a result of burning or burial to the Central Bank and its branches exclusively directly from the citizens." End 29/6 n

The Central Bank issued a statement on the perforated or burned funds
demanded the Iraqi Central Bank , on Friday, all banks comply with the decision taken on dealing with banknotes and perforated burning of the Iraqi dinar.
The bank said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it, that "all banks to confiscate the damaged banknotes perforated discovered within the deposits of customers of the bank and delivered to the Central Bank of Iraq with knowledge of its source from the customer and otherwise the bank bears the legal responsibility resulting from it."
The bank added that "banks also provide damaged banknotes as a result of burning or burial to the Central Bank and its branches exclusively directly from citizens."

The coins were withdrawn by the bank for non-circulation by the public.
Yes, they are worthless at 1190...

Look at the difference in exchange rates - WOW
CBI - 1190 dinar to 1 dollar US as of April 12, 2019
US Treasury - 1138 to 1 dollar US as of March 31, 2019
UN Operational Rates - 1170 to 1 dollar US as of April 1, 2019
I think the US Treasury could have the true rate - I think the lower dinar rate represents the true exchange rate.
