Nineveh province deputies issued a statement on the dissolution of the provincial council, asserting the involvement of members of the Council to conduct corruption deals to choose a new governor.
MP Khalid Obeidi, said that "our people in the province of Nineveh waiting for the decision of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to resolve the provincial council, some of whom intentionally deliberately or indirectly wasted money and stolen by the local government, which proved the local committees of the integrity of the existence of waste and theft of funds and a deliberate dereliction of control on Local administrative administration. "
"There is a great failure in providing services, reconstruction and the return of displaced people, especially the tragic words of hundreds of innocent people," he said.
He called on the political blocs and components and deputies to "vote on the resolution to dissolve the Council and send a message of reassurance to the people of Nineveh and the Iraqi people, because the House of Representatives will stand against all corrupt and failed."
