Halabousi calls on newspapers, networks and satellite channels to support the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi called on editors of Iraqi newspapers, heads of networks, satellite channels, media personalities and program providers to support the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption.
A statement issued by the office of Halbusi said that the latter "met with a number of editors of Iraqi newspapers and heads of networks and satellite channels and media personalities and program providers."
"The meeting, which was attended by the president of the parliamentary committee for culture and media and the president of the Iraqi journalists' union, on the protection of journalists and their rights to obtain information and the maintenance of copyright and freedom of expression. He pointed out that the press and media should be supportive of the state in all its institutions in detecting flaws, ; To support the work of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption, through the reports of journalists and media professionals and to send them through the Information Office of the President of the House of Representatives, the Journalists Syndicate and the Parliamentary Culture and Information Committee;
The journalists discussed with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives the law of informatics crimes, while reassuring the sovereignty of journalists and media that the law will not harm the freedom of expression and publication, but will protect the pens announced, and accounting hidden from them, which promotes crime and extortion.
