    Turkish Trade Minister Rohasar Baggan expressed Thursday her country's desire to raise the level of trade exchange and take advantage of the economic potential and opportunities available to both countries.

    Ankara addresses Baghdad on Turkish exports to Iraq

    Ankara on Thursday addressed the Baghdad government on Turkish exports to Iraq. 
    "President Barham Salih received today, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Turkish Minister of Trade Rohasar Bakjan and the accompanying delegation," the presidential statement said. 
    The statement stressed the need for economic integration and the development of infrastructure links as a way to achieve peace, security and prosperity among the countries of the region. 
    He pointed out that "the importance of strengthening and expanding the level of trade cooperation between Iraq and Turkey, as well as the contribution of Turkish companies in the reconstruction of Iraq, and benefit from their expertise in various areas, so as to stimulate the Iraqi economy and provide employment opportunities." 
    In turn, the minister touched upon "the measures taken on Turkish exports to Iraq, stressing the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation in all fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly peoples."
