Investment Authority: The land investment project surrounding Baghdad airport will be implemented on the state land

The National Investment Commission confirmed on Friday that the project to invest the land surrounding Baghdad airport will be implemented on the territory of the state, stressing that it pursues a general national policy for investment and adopt the implementation of investment projects taking into consideration the interest of the state and the citizen alike.
"In order to clarify the facts about the land allocated to the investment project within the area surrounding the Baghdad International Airport, the National Investment Authority confirms that the above project will be implemented on land belonging to the state exclusively and located within the presidential palaces and sites (According to the attached plan indicating the location and limits of the project) and there are no property rights, contractual rights or agricultural contracts for citizens. "

She added that "the National Investment Authority in light of the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 175 of 2019 formed a joint technical legal committee with the owner of these sites (state real estate) to fix the limits of this project in order not to overlap between the lands allocated for investment and land and rights of citizens near the airport, The committee entrusted with the inventory of land and the installation of the border by handing over the company Daeko (British nationality) invested an area of not more than 300 acres, which is located on plots numbered (11/7) and part of the plot numbered (13) of the area specified by the decision of the Council of Ministers, Land belonging to the Citizens. The committee was also instructed to receive applications from citizens who have title deeds, agricultural contracts or the rights of their land to consider them in accordance with the law. "
