Iran is considering buying goods from Iraq for $ 5 billion in energy export revenues

The secretary-general of the Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce said that Iran would earn about 5 billion dollars in revenues from the export of gas and electricity to Iraq this year.
Hamid Hosseini said in an interview with the Fars news agency that a delegation from the Central Bank of Iran will go to Iraq to discuss the possibility of buying goods through the liquidity achieved through the export of electricity and gas to the neighboring country.
On the other hand, Hosseini stressed the resumption of the implementation of engineering projects such as the construction of a stadium and the water and sanitation network in the city of Nasiriyah, as well as housing projects, which were stopped because of the organization of a supporter of the terrorist and the source of financial resources.
He pointed out that the joint chamber of commerce is seeking to hold a meeting between the Iraqi Ministry of Housing and the Organization of Industrial Cities of Iran with the aim of resuming the outstanding projects in Iraq, while some of them have already started work. He pointed out that all projects, especially technical and engineering, will be launched as soon as possible.
