The Council of Representatives voted in its eleventh session, which was chaired by the President of the Council Mohammed Halbousi and the presence of 185 deputies on Tuesday, to host Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, also finished the first reading of the first amendment to the unified retirement law and the law to cancel the financial privileges of officials In the Iraqi state after the previous open session.

The council finished reading the draft law of the first amendment to the unified retirement law after arriving at the council and referred it to the finance committee, which came to take advantage of the grades resulting from the movement of owners in attracting young staff, and to amend the statutory age for referral to retirement and to cancel the legal provisions that allow the pensioner to combine two salaries.
Halbousi pointed out that the legislation of the first amendment to the unified retirement law will contribute to provide more than 300 thousand degrees of employment for young graduates, directed to be the second reading and discussion of the law in Thursday's session.
The Council completed the first reading of the proposed law to abolish the financial privileges of officials in the Iraqi state for the purpose of responding to the legitimate demands of demonstrators from the Iraqi people and to eliminate the differences between employees in the Iraqi state and to ensure social justice among citizens.
Thereafter, the President of the Council announced that the meeting would remain in continuous session. is over
