An Iraqi professor survives an assassination attempt in Baghdad

A security source said today, Saturday, that Ibrahim Ibrahim Al-Baidhani, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Historians in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] survived an assassination attempt.
The source said in a press statement, that unknown persons tried to assassinate Professor Ibrahim Saeed Al-Baidani, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Historians in Baghdad.
He added that Professor Al-Baydani survived the attempt by only being stabbed and was subsequently transferred to the hospital.
