Former Kurdish lawmaker Rizan Sheikh Dalir called on the Kurdish blocs not to search for positions in the next government and focus on demanding constitutional rights.
Sheikh Delir said in a press statement: "There are differences between the Kurdish political blocs and parties like the rest of the Iraqi components, Sunnis and Shiites, but the situation of the Kurds differs from the conditions of the Sunnis and Shiites, and they must be united at this time, and have a unified view in the application of the constitution, Especially with regard to the Kurdish areas outside the administration of the region and the entitlements of the Peshmerga and other constitutional rights, "she said. Sheikh Delir continued: "Any political party, whether it is the Democrat or the National Union or others, negotiates with Allawi individually regarding his participation in the next federal government, as he seeks to obtain gains and party positions away from the interests of the people of Kurdistan."
