Parliament is scheduled to present the draft fiscal budget for 2021 to a vote, and earlier today, a parliamentary meeting was held to agree on the Kurdistan region’s share of the budget and its obligations to Baghdad in return.

The deputy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Bashar Kiki, said, Friday (March 19, 2021) that Baghdad and Erbil have agreed to pass the financial budget for the current year in Parliament.
"We congratulate all Iraqis that Erbil and Baghdad have agreed to pass the budget. It is a Nowruz gift to the Iraqi people in general and the people of Kurdistan in particular," Kiki wrote on his Facebook page, followed by IQ News .
"Now a new phase of stability and coexistence among the components of the Iraqi people has begun," he added.
