    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashem Mustafa, delivered the speech of Iraq at the plenary session of the Conference on Disarmament, in which he renewed Iraq's firm stances towards the main issues of the conference.

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the Euphrates News Agency received a copy of it today that he “commended the efforts of the heads of the conference for this year in presenting and discussing documents related to the conference’s work, while renewing Iraq's position on establishing nuclear-weapon-free zones around the world as an important step towards the judiciary On nuclear weapons. "
    He stressed "the implementation of the Middle East resolution of the 1995 conference to review the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and its Extension, and in accordance with the action plan contained in the Final Document of the 2010 Review Conference," expressing Iraq's readiness to actively participate in the second session of the Conference on Establishing a Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone and other Weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, to be held next November, considering this conference an important step towards achieving the goal of establishing a free zone in the Middle East, as well as strengthening other parallel tracks aimed at establishing this zone.
    And Iraq undertakes the coordination tasks of the Group of 21 within the Conference on Disarmament, which is one of the regional groups within the conference, and its membership includes 33 member states of the conference.
