On Monday, Iranian foreign trade announced that Iraq has come second, in the list of the most importing countries of Iranian goods during the Iranian trade year ending on March 20.
"The pistachio crop achieved growth in the fiscal year ending March 20, 2021, by 56 percent on an annual basis," Iranian Trade said in a statement carried by the Iranian Fars News Agency.
"The first ten commodities exported from Iran included gasoline, liquefied natural gas, polyethylene with a density of less than 94 percent, methanol, pistachios, liquefied propane, steel alloys, polyethylene with a density of more than 94 percent, tar and oils," she added.
"The value of the ten exported goods in the aforementioned period exceeded $ 13.7 billion, and constituted 34.9 percent of the total exports," she said.
She pointed out that "China topped the list of importing markets for these goods, followed in order by Iraq, the Emirates, Turkey and Afghanistan, respectively, as they collectively accounted for 74 percent of the value of exports."
