    The Investigation Department of the Commission, and in its talk about the details of the seizure that was carried out according to a judicial warrant, stated that “a working team from the Commission’s Investigation Directorate in Baghdad, after moving to a popular (kufic) in a neighborhood of the capital, Baghdad, managed to arrest a gang leader in flagrante delicto. A bribe amounting to (5,000) thousand dollars in exchange for false promises to close the files of corruption that he claimed were instituted against the head of a private institution.
    The department added that "the team was also able to arrest all other members of the gang," pointing out that "initial investigations led to the gang members impersonating official characteristics in state institutions with the intent to blackmail citizens; in return for receiving sums of money in exchange for false promises to close corruption files they claim to exist." They can close it through the main accused, who impersonates a director general in one of the regulatory agencies.
    It indicated that "a fundamentalist seizure report was organized in the process, and it was presented with the accused and the criminal offenders to the competent investigating judge, to take appropriate legal measures in its regard."
    The commission announced at the beginning of this month that it was able to arrest an accused person impersonating one of the regulatory agencies, indicating that he is requesting money from citizens in exchange for false promises of appointment in state institutions.
