The Ministry of Agriculture discussed with the delegation of the World Food Program (WFP) a number of topics related to joint cooperation between the Ministry and the World Food Organization in the agricultural field.

A statement by the ministry, which was reviewed by Al-Iqtisad News, stated, "The focus has been on the dairy industries and the manufacturing industries for the tomato crop by establishing factories, supporting youth, rural activity and rural women, adopting programs and activities to develop their agricultural capabilities, and working to support the program to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the government sector. and the private sector to develop the national economy.
He added: "Cooperation with academic institutions and universities in a number of governorates on the agricultural process and climate change was emphasized, as well as cooperation with the Agricultural Meteorology Center to support the activity of meteorological stations in a number of governorates, as well as coordination between the two sides on climate change, desertification and food security." for the country."
According to the statement, the meeting reviewed a number of programs, activities and projects implemented by the World Food Program in the governorates, including courses on manufacturing industries, preparing ready-made foods, youth support and food value chains in the governorates of Nineveh, Maysan, Dhi Qar and Basra, as well as the activities and programs of the Ministry of Agriculture to confront climate change and desertification.
