On Wednesday, the Federal Court approved the government's appeals in 6 paragraphs of the budget law for the year 2021, while 4 paragraphs were rejected.
The [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] stated , September 29, that "the Federal Court agreed to the government's appeal to release the Minister of Finance's approval to add financial allocations to compensate employees' salaries, contracts and wages, as stated in Article 50/A."
She explained, "The court approved the government's appeal to refuse to impose 15% taxes on fuel, as well as the government's appeal regarding the costs of oil licensing rounds, and the rejection of the Finance Committee's control over the distribution of projects in the governorates."
It also indicated that the Federal Court approved the government's challenge to reject the establishment of "petrodollar" funds by the governorates, as it is the exclusive prerogative of the federal government.
The agency indicated that the court rejected the government's appeal regarding the unconstitutionality of raising the prices of wheat and barley, and considered it a "constitutional validity" within the powers of the House of Representatives.
