The Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region, Kamal Atrushi, announced, on Monday, that the fuel crisis in the region is technical, while noting that Baghdad will supply the region with more than one million liters of gasoline per day.
Atrushi said in a press conference after his meeting with Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, that "the problem in the lack of fuel production in the region is technical due to a malfunction in the Bazian refinery plant," noting that "it was agreed with the Ministry of Oil in the federal government to fix the technical defect in the station."
He added that "the Federal Ministry of Oil pledged to supply the region with 1.8 million liters of gasoline per day," noting that "it was agreed to provide the region with other fuels per day, as follows:
150 million liters of white oil in 3 phases at a price of 400 dinars per liter,
the first phase is 50 million liters of oil. White will be supplied to villages in the border areas and mountainous and remote areas.
The second stage: 50 million liters of white oil for silvers, districts and small cities.
The third phase: 50 million liters of white oil for city centers and the governorate. Ended 29/A 43
