On Thursday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of a summons order against the former governor of Dhi Qar, against the background of violations in the design and implementation of a bridge project in the province.
The Commission's Investigation Department stated, through a statement that NRT Arabic received a copy of it (October 21, 2021), "details of the case that it investigated and referred it to the judiciary, as it reported that the Nasiriyah Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity issues, issued a summons order against the former governor of Dhi Qar; The background to the presence of irregularities in the project of designing and implementing the Civilization Bridge in the governorate.
She explained that "the recruitment order was issued, based on the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code, and according to the notes and results of the contract audit, which are confirmed by the report of the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, pointing out that the project referred to a foreign company is estimated at (31,999,000,000) billion dinars."
