Shafaq News/ The Iranian English-language newspaper "Financial Tribune" reported on Wednesday that Iran has exported more than $10 billion worth of goods to the Gulf countries, while Iraq ranked second among Iran's trading partners in the Gulf, after the United Arab Emirates.
And the newspaper indicated in a story translated by Shafak News Agency, that during the period from March 21 to December 21 last year, the volume of Iran's trade with the Gulf countries and Iraq reached more than 22 billion dollars, as Iran exported 35.04 million tons worth 10.44 billions of dollars to the Gulf countries, and in return it imported 10.81 million tons, worth 12.39 billion dollars.
This came according to the data of the customs administration of the Iranian Republic, according to what the Iranian newspaper indicated, which also said that the UAE is Iran's first trading partner among the Gulf countries, with 17.2 million tons, worth $14.93 billion.
Iraq came in second place with 25.38 million tons worth 7.66 billion dollars, then Kuwait with 2.37 million tons worth 118.11 million dollars, noting that in total, Iran's exports amounted to 35.04 million tons worth 10.44 billion dollars.
The Iranian newspaper pointed out that Iraq was the main export destination for Iranian goods with 23.47 million tons worth 6.78 billion dollars.
The UAE came after Iraq, with 8.3 million tons, worth $3.43 billion, then Kuwait 2.37 million tons, worth 109.04 million dollars, then Qatar 885,660 tons, worth 108.99 million dollars, then Bahrain came with 9,117 tons, worth $6.25, then Saudi Arabia with 428 tons, worth $6.25. $41,018.
