The Sadrist bloc decided, on Saturday, to boycott the parliament session to elect the President of the Republic scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, while it announced the freezing of its political negotiations to form the government.
The head of the Sadrist Parliamentary Bloc, Hassan al-Adari, said in a press conference that "the information" followed, that "by order of Muqtada al-Sadr, it was decided to freeze negotiations with the political blocs regarding the formation of the next government until further notice."
Al-Adari added, "The members of the Sadrist bloc should not attend the parliament session to choose the president of the republic, with the exception of the first deputy speaker of the parliament." finished/25
