Shafaq News/ The Minister of Health in Kurdistan Region, Saman Barzanji, announced, on Wednesday, the provision of a new batch of medical supplies by the World Health Organization.
Barzanji said in a press conference held on the sidelines of a ceremony in this regard, that the value of the aid we received today amounts to nearly 500 thousand US dollars, with a capacity of 85 tons.
He explained that these supplies consist of medicines, analgesic drugs, sedatives and anti-inflammatory, types of nutrients, medical devices and supplies, and first aid that is used to treat the injured.
The Minister continued by saying that the World Health Organization has supported and supplied the Kurdistan Region with medical supplies and pharmaceutical products over the past two years, amounting to 6 million US dollars.
