    The Central Bank of Iraq's foreign currency sales decreased on Sunday, March 13, 2022, to about $181 million

    Foreign remittances amounted to more than 162 million dollars, accounting for 90% of total sales
    And the Central Bank witnessed, during its auction of buying and selling US dollars, a decrease in its sales of dollars, to reach 181 million and 911 thousand and 943 dollars, a decrease of more than 6%, or approximately 12 million from  [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .

    Foreign remittances increased by nearly 4 million dollars to about 162 million dollars, in the form of requests to enhance balances abroad, and amounted to about 90% of total sales.
    The Central Bank recorded a decline in its sales of currency in cash by nearly half, to about 19 million dollars, and by more than 10% of the total sales.
    Twenty-four banks responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, compared to 12 banks to meet cash requests, with the participation of 128 intermediary companies and 9 exchange companies.
    The bank covered sales at the following prices:
    • The selling price of the amounts transferred to bank accounts abroad is (1460) dinars per dollar.

    • The cash sale price is (1460) dinars per dollar.
