Iraq tops the list of Turkish imports of fish and animal products

The Board of Directors of the Fisheries and Animal Products Associations Sector in Turkey revealed today, Thursday, that Iraq came first in the list of Turkish aquaculture and animal products import.
Council Chairman Sinan Kiziltan said in a report seen by "Economy News", that "the exports of the Turkish fish and animal products industry during the past 12 months amounted to 3 billion and 590 million dollars."
He added that "the aquaculture industry made the largest contribution, amounting to 436 billion dollars in exports, followed by the poultry meat and eggs industry, which reached 1.312 billion dollars, where the share of poultry meat exports was 926 million dollars, and the share of eggs exports 386 million dollars."
And it showed that "dairy exports amounted to 486 million dollars, while honey exports brought in 33 million dollars, in addition to other products amounted to 303 million dollars."
She noted that these exports reached 142 countries in 2021, noting that "Iraq ranked first with 555 million dollars, followed by the Russian Federation, with 259 million dollars, and Italy third."
