Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health confirmed that it had recorded an increase in the percentage of daily positive cases to 20% of the number of tests, while warning of an upward increase in the daily toll.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, said, "The percentage of positive cases compared to the number of daily Corona examinations rose to 20%, and this is a high percentage and confirms what the Ministry of Health warned of about a daily upward rise in the number of injuries."
He added, "Iraq is currently experiencing the beginning of the fifth wave, and we do not know when the infections will decrease. Unfortunately, we note that the percentage of vaccinated people is still below the required level and the turnout is weak."
He stressed that "there is currently no increase in the number of hospitalized cases, and we assume that it will increase with the continued increase in the number of corona infections, and it is possible that dangerous cases will increase with it."
He pointed out that "the possibility of gene mutations and new mutations is possible and represents a constant danger, and society must take the initiative to intensify vaccination operations to immunize itself."
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Health is ready for any epidemiological variable, whether it is related to corona, hemorrhagic fever or cholera."
Since the twentieth of this June, the number of daily infections with Corona has witnessed a continuous rise, reaching its peak today with (1,345) cases.
Regarding the cholera file, Al-Badr explained that "the latest statistics provided by the Public Health Department confirmed the registration of 19 cases, 10 of them in Sulaymaniyah, 5 of them in Kirkuk, Muthanna, two cases, Baghdad, Rusafa, one and Diyala."
And he indicated that "there are suspected cases, and currently samples have been sent to the Central Health Laboratory, and it is possible that the number of diagnosed infections may increase." Ended 29 / p. 87
