The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Ismail, confirmed, on Wednesday, that Washington is exploiting a clause in the security agreement with Baghdad to advance a malicious agenda.

Ismail said in an interview with “Information” that “a clause in the joint agreement between Baghdad and Washington gives the latter high flexibility in the movement of its helicopters and military planes in Iraqi airspace without any inspection, and this represents an unacceptable defect and transgression, as it is a violation of the national security system.”
He added, "All American planes and helicopters flying in the airspace of Iraq are not subject to any inspection, and this is something that must be paid attention to because it is a great gateway to passing a malicious agenda that harms the security interest of the country and was behind many violations in the past years."
He pointed out, "the need to reconsider that agreement, remove the rest of the foreign forces, and subject all helicopters to strict inspection, especially as we are going through a very sensitive situation in the Middle East."
The US forces are deployed in two military bases in the west and north of the country, which include squadrons of combat aircraft and helicopters.
