    The expert in the field of energy, Ahmed Sabah, confirmed, on Thursday, that investing in the field of gas fields in Iraq can provide electrical energy to 60 million Iraqis and export the surplus to Europe.
    Sabah told Al-Iqtisad News that "Iraq daily produces 2,500 cubic feet (one million standard cubic feet), while it still burns up to 1,500 cubic feet per day. A thousand barrels of gas filled up."
    He added, "If Iraq invests all associated gas, we will reach the production of 4,000 mqqm per day, while the free gas fields of Akkas - Anbar, Mansouriya - Diyala, Siba and Sinbad in Basra and Anjana, Khashem al-Ahmar, Diyala, we will add another 1,000 mqmqs per day." .
    He explained, "Increasing oil production by one million barrels per day, according to the plans of the Ministry of Oil, so we will be able to raise our gas production by another thousand milligrams in parallel with that, in order to reach the production of 6000 milliliters per day, which is sufficient to cover the demand for electricity in the peak summer season."
    He continued, "The production can generate 36-40 GWh for us if we use the combined cycle of generation, and this is sufficient for any future expansion in demand until the year 2050, and even if the population reaches 60 million people, if we use solar energy in a supplemental way, solar energy during the day provides consumption Gas".
    With regard to the rest of the months of the year, the expert explained that "the demand for electricity will decrease, and therefore we will have a surplus of natural gas that can be sold to neighboring countries, most notably Turkey, or liquefied and sold to Europe, which needs it during the winter season in abundance, so the investments, despite their large size, will result in energy security." In addition, it will generate huge profits . "
