    Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce announced its readiness to complete two new food baskets, indicating a tendency to increase their vocabulary.
    The assistant general manager of the General Company for Foodstuff Trading, one of the formations of the Ministry of Trade, Talib Abbas Hassan, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency and followed by "Economy News", that "the company has started preparing the seventh food basket and has prepared the stores while preparing to equip the eighth basket," noting that "The citizen saw a big difference between the ration quota and the food basket in terms of processing and quality of materials, despite the crisis that the world and neighboring countries are going through."
    Hassan added, "One of the most important goals of the food basket, which is the most important item of the Ministry of Trade, is to preserve the internal economic market," noting that "the food basket materials currently fill the need of the citizen and he only needs a little to buy, and this affects negatively and positively the local market, and the effect has become clear. And great for the Iraqi citizen."
    Regarding the company’s strategy, Hassan stated that “the food trade has a future ambition to increase the vocabulary of foodstuffs,” explaining that “we now have a program that works with accurate calculations in order to add new materials to the basket and improve it with the census of the population, as all of these things need a financial allocation. ".
    He pointed out that "the company's warehouses are complete and sufficient to store foodstuffs," explaining that "in the event of an increase in materials, a plan has been drawn up to establish new stores to accommodate the materials, taking into account that there will be emergency storage for a period of 3 months," stressing that "these procedures will take place. direct it within the future plans of the budget.
