Hanoun added, "The campaign was launched in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy, to continue monitoring the local market by intensifying visits in cooperation with the competent security authorities to control food prices and ensure the circulation of valid and permitted materials in the markets."
He pointed out, "The prices of sugar and cooking oil witnessed stability, while the prices of rice, tomato paste, and legumes witnessed a noticeable decrease, offset by a slight increase in the exchange rate of the dollar, which amounted to 14,800 dinars."
Hanoun pointed out, "The joint teams, in cooperation with the Salah al-Din Health Department, seized prohibited materials and expired foodstuffs in one of the shops, and issued a final warning to the owner of the shop with a fine."
And he talked about, “The stability of foodstuffs in the local markets came due to the continuity of the food basket items being distributed completely and at regular times.”
Hanoun added, "The ministry is determined to increase this vocabulary and improve the quality of other materials in the near future."
For his part, the General Manager of the General Company for Construction Materials Trading, Sarmad Taha Saeed, said that "the company held a meeting to discuss the planning and financial budget for the next year."
And Saeed continued, “The meeting discussed the planning budget by reviewing the accounting guide for previous years, leading to the integrated budget that meets the company’s goals.”
He pointed out that "the meeting dealt with the discussion of financial service requirements, such as maintenance of buildings, machinery, equipment, wheels, electrical appliances, electronic computers, and the maintenance and maintenance of other equipment."
Saeed stressed, "This includes service requirements such as advertising, printing, hospitality, and their financial allocations according to well-studied financial regulations."
He noted, "The financial needs of the company and its branches are fully secured after conducting an extensive study by department managers in coordination with the financial department to announce the planning budget for the year 2023, which meets the company's financial need to raise the required level."
Saeed concluded, "The budget also included allocations for the company's employees, compensatory allocations, and an incentive reward."
In addition, the General Manager of the Grain Company, Riyad Fakher Al-Hashimi, spoke about “the Minister of Commerce’s directive to form a working group from the General Company for Grain Manufacturing to investigate and quickly follow up on the appeal that a citizen made regarding the distribution of flour in the Al-Amel neighborhood in Baghdad.”

He noted, "The company's control and quality teams in Baghdad and the provinces are constantly following the process of producing and distributing flour to ensure the quality, validity, presence of agents, the extent of their commitment to working hours and opening their shops, and severe penalties are imposed against violators, whether it is the mill or the agent."
Al-Hashemi went on to "urge families to receive their portions of flour, and to report any case of tampering or poor quality of flour."
The Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Sattar Al-Jabri, said in a statement to (Al-Mada) that “the distribution of the ration card items is only for those who are eligible.”
And Al-Jabri continued, “There are segments that are not eligible, and a decision was issued by the Council of Ministers and included in the budget law in this regard.”
He pointed out that "the non-included fall into 13 segments, and they are company owners, pharmacists, and those with special degrees and higher salaries, with 5 million immigrants outside Iraq."
And Al-Jabri indicated that “any person who does not receive his share for a period of three to four months is also withheld from him,” stressing that “withholding the card from those who are not eligible will contribute to improving the status of the vocabulary for the rest.”
He stressed, "Those covered by the ration card at the present time number up to 40 million Iraqis," noting that "about 8 to 10 million people are not eligible for it."
Al-Jabri continues, “The number of company owners in the Companies Registrar reaches 82 thousand people, and it is assumed that the card will be withheld from them and their families.”
And he continues, “The recent meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani and what was stated in the government curriculum all emphasized the increase and improvement of the ration card items.”
