Earth News/ Today, Friday, Representative Alia Nassif called on the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and all political forces to support the position of the Iraqi drilling teams operating in Khor Abdullah.
Nassif said in a statement, received by Earth News, that "the Kuwaiti side sent warnings via radio to the Iraqi side to stop drilling in Iraqi territorial waters, and they were given a strong response that the drilling is continuing and that the work team receives orders from the Iraqi government and not from external parties."
And she added, “If Kuwait does not recognize the Khawr Abdullah agreement (and this is the explanation of its demands for us to stop drilling), then we also can not recognize the agreement for a very simple reason, which is that Khawr Abdullah is an entire Iraqi water body, and we said it several years ago and confirmed that Kuwait’s establishment of Mubarak Port It is only an expression of hatred and hatred for Iraq, because this port will not benefit Kuwait except for obstructing the construction of the great port of Faw.”
Nassif continued, "The digging will continue on our part, and their calls via radio are of no value, and we salute everyone who has demonstrated his patriotism and preserved Iraq's interest and sovereignty, and we hope that the government will take an honorable national stance against Kuwaiti ambitions and transgressions and that the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and all political forces support and endorse the position Iraqi drilling teams.
